Assignment #2 Due Wednesday Feb. 27

The assignment will be “turned in” and presented on Wednesday 27 February during class. The group will present in front of class their Awareness Wearebel concept to the rest of their peers. The presentation will be a maximum of 10 minutes. Be sure to include a visual presentation of your concept in any format the group chooses (powerpoint, video, collage, poster, sketch, mood board, apparel). Each group can decide what to do with visual presentation; you can either choose a person who keeps it, or, you can turn in your visual for the 2019 Art 3110 class collection (more info about this on monday).

Group text & verbal concept presentation must include:

Name of project
Names of group members
WHAT: Description – Design, features, components, functions?
HOW: Mission – purpose/intention, objectives, action plan. How does it connect people?
WHO: Audience/target group/community/hero – Who is it (the wearable) intended for/what community? Who wears it and how does this “Wearebel” support social engagement and awareness raising?
Background/Research –  Research facts on the community and its status quo; how does your solution/design work? What are some examples of best practice projects that relate to your proposal, list resources
Vision – impact, expectations, future projections, long term goal
Open Questions – What is yet to be solved? What questions

Personal Reflection (one per student)
Personal reflection must include 3-5 paragraphs on issues you dealt with and what you learned through the process and research.

Extra Credit:
Option 1.The School of Endurance Work –  ends thursday Feb 21
Visit the current exhibition in the Cal State Fine Arts Gallery and choose an artist to research about. Your research can be presented as a blog post (3-5 paragraphs). Please include issues the artist deals with in her/his work, and how this artist creates community impact

Option 2.
Visit SoCal Library http://www.socallib.org/contact and choose an historical figure from Los Angeles to research about. Your research can be presented as a blog post (3-5 paragraphs). Please include issues this person dealt with in her/his work, and how their actions created community impact.
